NEW GERMAN TOUR FOR MARCH 2023!
At long last we can officially announce that we’ll be returning to Germany in March 2023!
​
Our (much-speculated about!) 40th Anniversary Tour starts on March 19th in Augsburg, and will take in Aschaffenburg, Heidelberg (instead of Regensburg), Freiburg, and Kassel!
​

The Pickets will be starting the 2023 tour in Switzerland, with our much-postponed shows in Bern, St Gallen and Winterthur!
Originally planned for 2020 and delayed multiple times by our old nemesis Covid, we are looking forward to seeing you on March 9th, 10th and 11th!

BACK TO AUSTRIA IN OCTOBER!
Hey, guess what? We are super excited to announce 2 new dates in Austria THIS YEAR!- Friday 21st Oct in Stadttheater in Steyr, and Saturday 22nd Oct in Theater Akzent, Vienna! Tickets are on sale NOW, available HERE!

We’re very happy to be able to announce an extra date on our Spring Austrian tour- on Friday 29th April 2022 we’ll be returning to the Kubinsaal in Schärding.
We had such a good time there just before Corona hit us all, so we’re extremely excited to be going back!
​
We’ll have lots of the tracks from our album ‘Only Human’, a bunch of old favourites and ‘Only You’ too (well, if there’s time!), so bring your 50 closest friends, your mask and your voice!
Get ready for some fun, it’s time for live gigs again!

UPDATE MARCH 2022- #POSTPONED NOT CANCELLED
Just wanted to remind you again of those Corona-enforced changes to our 2022 tour…
Don’t forget that the dates in Switzerland which should be happening this March, have been postponed to next March 2023; the rearranged dates are listed here. All tickets will remain valid for then.

Our show in Belgium from January has been postponed to 2nd September 2022.
The rest of our rearranged schedule is on the Dates page. We’re looking forward to being back on the road in Austria in April!

Best of all, we are in the process of adding some new shows too, and we’ll let you know about those as soon as possible.
It’s been a very long and hard two years (for all touring bands) with almost all touring cancelled, but we are optimistic that we won’t have to postpone any more dates now. We have really missed seeing you at shows- can’t wait to finally see you this year and sing you the new tracks from ‘Only Human’!

HERE WE GO AGAIN....
We are so sorry to have to confirm a 3rd (yes, 3rd!) postponement of our gig at Den Egger in Scherpenheuvel-Zichem this Fri 14th Jan 2022.
Despite all our efforts, we and the team at Den Egger have reluctantly taken this hard decision due to ongoing issues with travel & performance during this new Covid wave. The team at Den Egger are contacting ticket holders personally.
We really hope you will be able to come to the rescheduled date- we’ll post it here as soon as it’s fixed!
We are looking forward to seeing you (later in the Spring?) at our fourth attempt to start off 2020 in style!!
WOW! THE WAITING IS OVER!
Last night saw the Pickets finally hit the road again after nearly two years forced Corona break!
We had a fantastic audience in Judenburg in Austria (thank you again, if you were there!)... It was quite an emotional return to performing- at long last we are able to sing the tracks from our new album ‘Only Human’ live!

We’re in Wals near Salzburg tonight (Oct 8th), and in Tulln near Vienna on Sunday (Oct 10th). If you’re in the area, we’d love to see you- it’s been a long time!!
​
For everyone else who can’t make it to Austria this week, all our upcoming rescheduled shows are here, with links to official ticket sites- maybe we’ll be able to meet in Switzerland, Austria, or Belgium in the Spring of 2022?….
And if you’re not going to be able to make it to a show any time soon, here’s a new lyric video we made for ‘Wham Bam Superman’, a Pickets original track from ‘Only Human’… should give you a flavour of the album and the show!

UPDATE FEB 2021- MORE POSTPONEMENTS
The ongoing COVID19 situation means we’ve again had to postpone our spring shows on 5th Feb (Den Egger, Scherpenheuvel, Belgium) & 18th Mar (Judenburg, Austria). We’re still looking for another replacement date for Den Egger, but for Judenburg we already have a new date later this year, 7th Oct 2021!)...

Unfortunately, our shows on 19th Mar (Leonding, Austria) & 20th Mar (Amstetten, Austria) have had to be cancelled completely. Please contact your ticket seller directly to get more information about refunds.
Our Werftbühne show at Korneuburg (Austria) has also been postponed again till 2022. Date will follow soon.

And in the autumn, our show at GC de Zoerla (Westerlo, Belgium) has also been postponed till 14th Oct 2022 because the venue has been transformed into a vaccination centre for the whole of this year… So at least there’s something good about it!
​
So sorry... we’re really disappointed about all this, after a year of waiting we are still so excited to play you the songs from our new album ‘Only Human’….. Please keep an eye open here, or on our Facebook page; we’ll update as soon as we have more more info on the replacement dates.

CORONA VIRUS CANCELS MARCH 2020 TOUR
Unfortunately, we have to announce that due to the current situation with the Corona Virus (COVID19) in Switzerland and Austria, it has been necessary to postpone all the Flying Pickets ‘Only Human Tour’ dates in March.
The Swiss dates are now rescheduled for 2021, as follows: 12.03.2021 Bern, 13.03.2021 Winterthur & 14.03.2021 St.Gallen, current tickets will remain valid, just the dates change.
The Austrian dates are rescheduled as follows: 28.10.2020 Amstetten, 31.10.2020 Steyr; and then 18.03.2021 Judenburg, 19.03.2021 Leonding and 30.04.2021 Korneuberg.
We're still looking for replacement dates for our Belgium date in Scherpenheuvel. Please keep an eye open here, or on our Facebook page; we’ll update as soon as we have more more info on the new dates.
If you have tickets, please contact the venue or your ticket seller for more information on the postponement and your tickets.
We are sorry for the forced postponement but appreciate the efforts the authorities are making to contain this outbreak. We’re looking forward to seeing you in May (cross fingers!), and later in the year.

We are SOOOO excited to let you know that our new album 'Only Human' is available now! You can support the band by downloading a digital version right here straightaway, or even better come to the concert in Belgium on 13th Dec and grab an actual CD!

To begin with, it's available only on CD or digital here, but over the next few weeks it will be up in all the usual places- iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon etc etc...

The Pickets have had a very busy few months, and we’ve got some super-exciting news for you!
Our new album ‘Only Human’ is now finished and will be released in the next couple of weeks! We’re very proud of it and can’t wait for you to hear it!
And… we’ll be going on a Spring Tour so you can hear the new songs… We’ll be in Switzerland and Belgium… current dates are here and there will be more added soon!

GOING BACK TO SWITZERLAND!

Our SpringTour is shaping up nicely, and we've got a couple of surprises! Ticket info is all here... We'll be returning to Switzerland for the first time in a few years- we'll be at the Stadtsaal in Wil on March 7th; the Volkshaus in Zürich on March 8th; and the Hotel National in Bern on March 9th. After that, we head over to Belgium- we'll be at GC de Bosuil in Overijse on March 15th; and then CC de Link in the metropolis that is Sint Eloois Winkel! We can't wait for you to hear the new songs from our upcoming album!

We're really looking forward to seeing you in the New Year- (we've got some great shows lined up for the Spring, details are here!); and we've decided to get into the right spirit (and also celebrate 35 years since Only You was at No1 in the UK!) by cutting the price of a digital copy of our "Strike Again' album, here on the website, until Dec 31st- to just £3.50 (yeh!), so if you haven't yet heard it, now there's one extra reason to download it! Happy Christmas!!

A quick reminder! We’re looking forward to returning to Austria- Theater Akzent in Wien on Oct 16th; and then to Frohnleiten (18th), Kammern im Liesingtal (19th), and Sankt Lorenz im Murztal (20th)… and then we make our last trip to Germany for 2018 when we visit Halle/Saale on Oct 27th. As well as songs from ‘Strike Again’, there’ll be a special sneak preview of a few of the songs from the next album, which we’re recording right now!

WE GOT CAUGHT IN AUSTRIA!

...The Pickets have been busy this Spring, touring the ‘Strike Again’ show. We've been back in Austria again, where in March ORF TV caught up with them in Götzis... It seems news of the Pickets' old secret admirer is out... oops...
FIRST GERMAN SHOWS OF THE YEAR!
​
So 2018 is flying by; our Austrian Spring Tour was a big hit (check out the video!)... and now we're heading towards Germany after Easter. We've got a couple of great shows in Bayreuth on Friday 6th April, and in Hallstadt (nr Bamberg) on Sat 7th April.
As usual, all ticket information is here; there are still a few left at the moment... but don't wait too long!
We'll be returning to northern Germany in the summer, and Halle in the Autumn, but as things stand, these are our only southern Germany shows this year... so if you're near Nürnberg or Regensburg- or anywhere west of Prague, this might be the closest we come this year! ;-)
BACK IN AUSTRIA IN THE SPRING!

So 2018 has got off to a great start already, and we’re thrilled to let you know about our upcoming spring Austrian Tour. We start off on Feb 15th down south in Weiz, and then travel to Ziersdorf (Feb 16th), and Tulln near Vienna (Feb 17th), before visiting Götzis, near Liechtenstein in the very far west (Mar 15th), then Wörgl in Tirol (Mar 16th), before heading back south to finish up in Leibnitz near Graz on Mar 17th. All ticket information is here- grab them quick- like last time, we’re expecting they’ll sell out pretty fast! We can’t wait to see you again!

THE PICKETS ARE COMING TO HOLLAND!
We are very proud to announce that we've just been invited to play a short set at the 35th 'Nacht van de Poezie' in Utrecht on Sat 16th Sept (yeh, soon!!)- it's an overdue return for us as we were last there in 1990! In fact, it'll be the first time we've been in Holland for several years.
It's at the fantastic TivoliVredenburg- everything kicks off at 8pm... There are still some tickets to be grabbed from the venue... more info here...

NEW ALBUM 'STRIKE AGAIN' IS OUT NOW!
So... Finally, we can tell you! The new Flying Pickets mini-album is called 'Strike Again' and it's out right now... we can't wait for you to hear it!
It has a 'sneak preview' release on CD only before it goes up on iTunes etc, so if you want to hear it before everyone else, the best place to get one is at an upcoming Pickets live show (see the 'Dates' page for more info on that)...!
As soon as it hits iTunes, we'll put a link up if you want a download only, but if you can't get to the next shows and you want a real old-fashioned silver CD, just drop us a line here and we'll fix you up!
